Heliotrope

Posted: January 8, 2010 in Heliotrope, Obscure Poetry

I’m careless, without the sense to dissuade what I felt like embracing.
Am I wrong to alleviate… elevate… what vein escape awaits me?
Can it be a sign from the midnight glistening within gliding moonbeams?
Will I play it safe? Or douse my ritualistic, satirical whim with flippant infertility?

Ride on… to that omnipresent reason to strive for what is fresh.
Let go… accept that you may just have the best you can get.
Wake me as I lie down to sleep forever…
…in a flowery field of heliotrope.

Magician, with your inspirational brilliance… will you dance with me?
Which way is the wrong way to any fane existence?
Sad, how the only way to up is by going around…
And just about the time I’d make it, I’d be… falling back down.

Ride on… to that omnipresent reason to strive for what is fresh.
Let go… accept that you just may have the best you can get.
Wake me as I lie down to sleep forever…
…in a flowery field of heliotrope.

Oooh. The moral of the story is what I fear…
Oooh. Trade waning pain for isolation…
It’s on my mind, today…
